'We were in a lot of debt': Kangnam On M.I.B. Disbandment Reason

On SBS's "2 O'Clock Escape Cultwo Show" last January 24, Kangnam told everyone the reason why M.I.B actually disbanded pertaining to financial matters. In addition, he also shared some stories how he was selected to be in the group and his quirky personality as a member. The idol also talked about his future plans about his career in the music industry after the disbandment.

For Kangnam and his M.I.B brothers, this New Year marked a fresh beginning for all of them. This in relation with their group's disbandment, it was just announced this January 4 that the three idols are cutting ties already with Cream, SIMS, 5Zic and Signal Entertainment.

According to Soompi, Kangnam's interview on SBS's "2 O'Clock Escape Cultwo Show" revealed that the reason for M.I.B disbandment is numerous debts. In essence, the group didn't work out well that the company already invested a lot in them but they didn't get a good turnout.

Moreover, Kangnam also shared some exciting thoughts on how he got in M.I.B and his thrilling plans for his own comeback as a solo artist. The former M.I.B. idol told everyone on the show that he was in Japan when he was scouted and offered by an agent to be in a boy group where he found his talkative personality to be useful.

Allkpop at the moment shares the latest news about Kangnam' appearance on "Elementary School Student/Teacher," this seems to be the start of his solo career. Along with TWICE's Momo, Super Junior-M's Henry, and more, he will guest to be a student and improve his Korean language skills.
