Jihyo of TWICE Undergo Knee Checkup, Will Take a Break from Group Activities

Jihyo of TWICE will be taking a break from doing promotions for a while. Reportedly, YP Entertainment said that she had knee pains so she got a thorough checkup at a hospital. The doctors apparently confirmed that the pain was abnormal. She is receiving the necessary treatment and is accordingly, currently in the process of recovery..The agency is taking the necessary medical measures while she is on the road to recovery.

The agency further added that unless Jihyo can have a fast and safe recovery, she may not be able to participate in her group's activities for a period of time. According to Soompi, YP Entertainment is requesting fans to understand its decision not to allow the singer from attending to her schedules temporarily. Moreover, the agency said that Jihyo's health is their top priority. They will do their best to help her make a full and speedy recovery.

Jihyo, according to Dramafever, is best known for her appearances on the variety show,"Running Man." She purportedly got her first acting job when she appeared in a music video for a Lee Soo Young song in 2001. It was apparently in 2003 when she got her first appearance in a movie entitled "Wishing Stars." These jobs accordingly led to more acting assignments that displayed her acting talents.

In 2006, after doing two other movies, Jihyo was given a part on the television series "Princess Hours." The success of the show accordingly helped to make her more familiar and gain her a fan base. Reportedly, in 2008 she got another big acting break when she was featured as the queen in the film "A Frozen Flower."

In 2010, she further propelled her career by taking a place on the extremely popular variety show, "RunningMan." She initially appeared as a guest but later was made a permanent member. She then continued to appear in several variety shows, television series and films, and including commercials.
