Soyou of SISTAR will be heading off to New Zealand. She has reportedly confirmed her appearance as a member of the cast of the "Law of the Jungle." Accordingly, She will show up in New Zealand together with Lee Kyung Kyu.
This will be Soyou's first time appearing on "Law of the Jungle," according to Soompi. She is also the third SISTAR member to proceed to the jungle, as members Bora and Dasom have reportedly appeared on the show before. Currently, the confirmed cast members for New Zealand so far are Soyou and Lee Kyung Kyu.
The staff of the show apparently revealed that there are destinations for the New Zealand episode. The celebrity guest line-up is decided reportedly based on the filming location. Meanwhile, "Law of the Jungle" in New Zealand will purportedly start broadcasting after "Law of the Jungle" in Sumatra ends.
Law of the Jungle is a reality-documentary show on SBS. This show, according to Viki, is a hybrid of reality-variety television, natural documentaries, and human drama. The cast of celebrities travels to primitive, natural places. They have to survive on their own and experience life with local tribes and people.
There are also special editions of the program that are aired not in the regular time slot. Law of the Jungle W features an all-female cast and generally airs during the Seollal and Chuseok holidays. Law of the Jungle K features celebrities with their children and, aired as a Korean New Year special.
Kang Ji-hyun better known by her stage name Soyou, is a singer best known as a member of the South Korean girl group Sistar under Starship Entertainment. She was a Cube Entertainment trainee before debuting with Sistar, and was originally supposed to be a member of 4Minute.
In Jan. 2015, Soyou, together with Lee Honey and Kim Jungmin, became the new MCs of the beauty tip program "Get It Beauty." In Feb. 2017 accordingly, Soyou together with EXO's Baekhyun released a duet called "It's Raining."
