Good news for G-Dragon fans! It has been confirmed that the BIG BANG leader will be making is comeback on stage this summer as he headlines a solo concert for his new album.
According to a report by Soompi, a representative from YG has confirmed that G-Dragon will he having a major concert this summer but the label is still ironing out the details of the event. The rep said that they are currently in the planning stages and still deterinining the exact venue and dates for the concert. It has previously been rumored that GD will be performing at Seoul's World Cup Stadium on June 10.
BIG BANG fans will be happy to see G-Dragon take on the stage again after his successful series of solo shows back in 2009 and 2013. It can be recalled that the BIG BANG leader headlined the "Shine a Light" concert for his "Heartbreaker" album and the "One of a Kind" world tour before he released his album "Coup d'Etat."
This year's show may feature new songs from G-Dragon's upcoming solo album which YG has already confirmed GD has been working on for a 2017 release. The album is a much-anticipated release for fans of the artist and for BIG BANG fans who last saw its members for the MADE world tour last year. BIG BANG is currently taking a break as T.O.P. recently enlisted for his mandatory military service. He has currently completed his training to serve as a policeman in the Gangnam district, Kpopstarz reported.
Meanwhile, like G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung are also concentrating on their solo careers while BIG BANG is on hiatus. Taeyang is reportedly busy working on his solo album which is expected for release this year while Daesung is enjoying the success of his Japanese album "D-Day" in Japan. Daesung, who is also known as D-Lite in Japan will also be holding solo concerts in major venues in Japan this month.
