T-ARA recently concluded their final concert in Taiwan as a six-member group amid a lot of tears and gratitude for the fans. While there was much drama that surrounded the final the final performance, the group officially bid goodbye to members Boram and Soyeon as their contract ends today with MBK Entertainment.
Fans are now awaiting what the next step in the career of Boram and Soyeon will be after it was confirmed by their label that their contract will end on May 15. MBK Entertainment, the girls' label, also confirmed that the two members of T-ARA will no longer be renewing their contracts.
In a statement by the label, they said that T-ARA will be releasing their final album as a six-member group on May 17 but Boram and Soyeon will no longer be part of the promotions for the new album. The remaining members have agreed to stay with the label until December but it is unsure what the fate of T-ARA will be after their contract expires.
"Soyeon and Boram's contracts expire on 15th May and they will not re-sign. Hyomin, Jiyeon, Eunjung, and Qri have extended their contracts until December of this year," MBK Entertainment said about T-ARA's upcoming activities. "They will continue their group and solo promotions, both domestic and overseas.
It can be recalled that in the lead up to T-ARA's final concert in Taiwan, MBK Entertainment has criticized Boram and Soyeon for not participating in the rehearsals and promotional activities for the event. MBK Entertainment said that Boram and Soyeon cut off all contact with the label and other T-ARA members a week prior to the concert and even canceled the tickets earlier booked for them by the management. Instead, Boram and Soyeon flew to Taiwan on their own and joined the concert to thank their fans for the love and support, along with the hope that their music will continue to be remembered in the years to come, Koreaboo reported.
