On October 7, it was announced that BTS member Jimin's solo track "Filter" rose to the top for the first time on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart, making it the group's record-extending 23rd number one hit.
Jimin has proved once again that he is a history maker, alongside the other members of his group. Prior to the song peaking at number one, "Filter" was already charting on said charts for 30 weeks. Additionally, it is the highest-charting solo song from BTS's fourth studio album "Map of the Soul: 7". It is the first song from the album to hit number one.

This is not the first time "Filter" has broken records. It was previously reported that "Filter" set the record as the first solo song from "Map of the Soul: 7" to surpass over 200 million digital points on the Gaon Charts. It is also the most-streamed solo song from all of the songs from the "Map of the Soul" era, with nearly 88 million streams.
Back in July, it was reported that Jimin became the most streamed Korean solo song in 2020, beating out Zico's song "Any Song". Currently, "Filter" is ranked as the eighth most-streamed K-pop songs for 2020 on Spotify.
Upon the song's release, "Filter" earned the most streams for a Korean soloist in Spotify history. This marks Jimin's second-biggest debut record, following "Promise", which was released in 2018 through SoundCloud.
Upon the track's debut, "Filter" charted at the number two spot on the iTunes Chart, trailing behind "ON". As of now, "Filter" has ranked number one in 107 countries on the iTunes Worldwide Charts. Back in August, it was reported that "Filter" took the top spot on the Amazon Best Seller of 2020 Charts, surpassing hit tracks such as "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd and "Dance Monkey" by Tones and I.
On YouTube Music, the official audio for "Filter" is currently the most streamed and most liked solo song from a Korean act with over 35 million streams. The official audio also trended worldwide at number 2, trailing behind BTS's "ON". On the Korean Music Chart, it ranked at number four and at number 90 on the Top Global Songs chart, making it the second-highest BTS song after "ON".
To this day, "Filter" is still well-loved by fans. Recently, the song was used for Samsung Spain's #GalaxyFanChallenge" on TikTok. The hashtag now has over 75 million views on the platform. It was also used by the World Health Organization (WHO) for their TikTok prior to that.
Out of all of the solo songs from "Map of the Soul: 7", "Filter" has the highest number of videos using the song.
Jimin, you truly are a history maker! Congratulations on your achievements!
