Park Ji Hoon teases fans with the concept trailer for his first UNIVERSE Music single, "Call U Up."
Global tech leader NCSoft and its entertainment subsidiary Klap has released the "Call U Up" concept trailer on its YouTube channel as well as on its official social networking sites (SNS) on February 24, 6 PM KST.
In the trailer, which runs for a little over half a minute, Park Ji Hoon begins by stepping into a futuristic-looking space, with what appears to be a scanning platform bound by white lights at the center. He first tests the mysterious structure by putting his hand into the light before totally stepping in. A mix of red-themed visual effects floods through before returning to the young singer-songwriter, apparently being transported out of the mysterious location.
Aside from capturing attention with his visuals - sporting a white long-sleeved shirt with metallic ornaments - the main source of intrigue and curiosity has to be the references to some sort of high-tech scanning and possibly a transport device.
As the track is titled "Call U Up," fans have begun speculating that the anticipated MV might have something to do with Park Ji Hoon coming immediately to the side of whoever might be calling him.
"Call U Up" will feature Park Ji Hoon's impressive vocals paired with Korean singer-songwriter Lee Hi, with production handled by hip-hop artist and record producer Primary. It also marks the third single released under UNIVERSE Music, the series of original music from the newest K-Pop fan interaction platform by Klap and NCSoft, set for a March 2021 release.
The original music series began with IZ*ONE and "D-D-Dance" in January, followed by Rain and soprano Jo Sumi's "Guardians" released this February.

After Wanna One officially disbanded at the end of 2018, Park Ji Hoon started the following year with his solo career under Maroo Entertainment. In February 2019, he started his Asia Fan Meeting, kicking off at the Grand Peace Palace in Kyunghee University, Seoul, and having stops in Taipei, Thailand, the Philippines, and more.
He formally made his debut as a solo artist with his album "O'Clock," led by the title track "L.O.V.E." In the same month, he also returned to acting in the JBTC period drama "Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency," playing the role of the fashionable flower man Go Young-soo. For his first role as an adult, excluding his appearances as a child actor, Park Ji Hoon received overwhelming praise from fans and critics of the series for his acting skills and his visuals befitting a Joseon-era young man who can bring out the beauty in every matchmaking client they come across.
