Pokemon Go Korea released a new commercial featuring aespa, but not everyone is impressed.

On May 31, 2024, a post titled "aespa's Pokemon ad that is attracting conversations among fans" was shared to Instiz, a popular online community forum from South Korea.

There, the original poster shared a photo from Pokemon Go Korea's ad featuring aespa. Karina is seen at the front. Winter is seen behind her, by Karina's left. Ningning is slightly behind Winter, posing by a wall. Giselle is seen the furthest from the members.

The user noted that the ad went too far in favoring Karina, as people cannot even see Giselle's face in the ad. Since this is not the first time Giselle has been mistreated during an ad deal with aespa, fans are understandably upset.

Back in March, Mise en Scene Korea was slammed for not including Giselle in their website shopping page. Fans claimed that on the site, the brand featured products advertised by Karina, Winter, and Ningning. Giselle, on the other hand, was nowhere in sight besides in the group photo.

Fans are saying that aespa's advertisement with Pokemon Go is a severe case. Even though Winter and Ningning are not as visible as Karina, it is the worst for Giselle, who fans can barely see. People slammed SM Entertainment for giving Pokemon Go the green light to post an ad that obviously favors one member.

Many wondered why they were positioned in such a way for a group ad, with some speculating that Pokemon Go Korea might have wanted just Karina for the commercial, but ended up signing a deal with aespa as a whole.

Besides her unfavorable placement in the group shot, many pointed out that Giselle's styling was not as great as the other members. They stated her clothes did not suit her body type, which is also why she easily went by without being noticed.

However, others noted that this is just the ending scene from the advertisement. In the commercial, Giselle is given her own solo screen time, as well as some scenes with Ningning and the rest of the group.
