Is BLACKPINK Lisa Collaborating With Rosé For Upcoming Release? Here's Why Fans Think So

Is BLACKPINK's maknae Lisa teaming up with co-member Rosé for her upcoming single? Here's what fans think.

On August 3, 2024, BLACKPINK member Lisa started trending on social media after unexpectedly teasing a new song titled "braNd neW dia." This marks Lisa's incredibly fast comeback, arriving just over a month after the release of "ROCKSTAR." This would mark Lisa's second release under her self-established agency, LLOUD.

Lisa's speedy comeback has sparked humorous comments, with many noting that the pace of her releasing solo music is faster than BLACKPINK's group releases. Despite being active for seven years, BLACKPINK has only released about 40 songs and typically makes a comeback once a year (if BLINKs are lucky).

In the teaser video shared by Lisa, although her face was not visible a girl with pink hair made a brief appearance, piquing fans' curiosity. Lisa previously sported long pink hair in BLACKPINK's "How You Like That" music, but it seems "braNd neW dia" will feature a new look that fans cannot predict. She was also seen holding a silver star in her hands.

The 12-second clip revealed a snippet of the song with the lyrics "fresh face brand new dia," accompanied by a vibrant melody and catchy beat, hinting at another hit as successful as "ROCKSTAR."

Another detail that caught the online community's attention was an image of Lisa playfully holding a rose, which was shared with Lisa and LLOUD's social media accounts. This led BLACKPINK fans to speculate that she might be hinting at her first collaboration of 2024. Many predict that Lisa could be teaming up with her best friend and fellow BLACKPINK member Rosé, as the rose is also a symbol associated with the "GONE" songstress.

However, international fans believe that the hints point towards Rosalia, a Spanish singer Lisa befriended earlier this year. Not long ago, Lisa expressed her desire to collaborate with Rosalía and Tyla. Therefore, "braNd neW dia" is likely to be a special collaborative project that Lisa is presenting to her fans.

In other news, Lisa is scheduled to headline to Global Citizen Festival on September 28. The event is part of a mission to end extreme poverty. Back in June 2024, Lisa made her first solo comeback with "ROCKSTAR," marking three years since her debut with "LALISA."
