K-pop idol Felix of Stray Kids was recently involved in a minor car accident. His injuries from the incident forced him to miss the group's scheduled event.
The car accident reportedly happened after Stray Kids' fan meeting at Inspire Arena in Incheon, South Korea, on Feb. 15. An initial report from JYP Entertainment, the group's agency, said the idol's car was exiting the arena's parking lot when a shuttle bus collided with its left rear side. The impact was minor, but it caused Felix to shift his weight, hit the vehicle's armrest, and injure his arm.
The agency provided a more detailed explanation of Felix's injuries the day after the incident, adding that the idol was brought to a higher-level general hospital for an MRI scan and examination. The tests determined that what appeared to be a fracture line on the initial X-ray was actually a childhood injury. The current diagnosis indicates a pinched nerve in the affected area, according to a statement.
JYP Entertainment added that they are closely monitoring Felix's progress in recovery and promised to provide necessary medical treatments based on doctors' recommendations.
Stray Kids held a series of fan meetings called "SKZ 5'CLOCK" at Inspire Arena, which began on Valentine's Day. Felix's injury prevented him from attending the scheduled fan meeting on Sunday.
The fan meeting marked the group's first such event in about 11 months since its last fan meeting, "SKZ'S MAGIC SCHOOL," was held in March last year. The group is set to launch a global stadium tour beginning March 27 at Estadio Bicentenario La Florida in Chile.
The group's tour will cover Latin America, North America, and Europe. It will end at the State de France in Paris on July 26. Tickets for the tour can be purchased on this website.
