As Pokemon X and Y prepare for its release October 12, the anime series is premiering some Pokemon and characters ahead of time, including the reporter Alexa.

Alexa is a forgetful Kalos reporter who travels all over the region to investigate news stories. She appears first in season 17 of the anime series, "Adventures in Unova and Beyond."

In addition, Alexa is the sister of the Santalune City Gym Leader, Viola. Will Ash battle her sister with Alexa by his side soon?

So far, Alexa has helped introduce three Pokemon X and Y Pokemon, Helioptile, Gogoat, and Noivern.

But Alexa is not the only companion Pokemon X and Y plan on introducing, at least, not in the video game.

As seen from trailers and images, Pokemon X and Y will include several companions, including Shauna, Trevor and Tierno.

"Shauna is an energetic girl who is eager to discover her own dreams. But she's also genuinely curious about her friends' progress in their travels!" writes the official website description.

"Tierno is burly and nimble, and his goal is to create a dance team with his Pokémon! He pays close attention to Pokémon when they battle to see he if he can incorporate their actions into new dance moves."

"Trevor's goal is to be the first of the group to complete his Pokédex. He's a great student, bursting with curiosity, but he admits that he has much to learn to become a great Trainer."

It seems all three characters will play key roles in Pokemon X and Y. For example, Trevor will give you your Pokedex!

The question is, will the anime introduce these characters ahead of time, like it is doing with Alexa, or will Shauna, Trevor, and Tierno be exclusive to Pokemon X and Y the video games?
