Ashley Tisdale took to Twitter to thank her fans for their well wishes upon hearing the news that she is engaged to her boyfriend Christopher French. She was recently spotted flashing her huge diamond engagement ring.

Ashley Tisdale tweeted: "Thank you guys for all your well wishes. Means so much to me. We're so grateful and excited. #imthehappiestgirlintheworld."

And then yesterday, the 28-year-old actress posted: "I'm feeling truly blessed right now, it's overwhelming :)"

According to The Gossip Girls, Ashley was spotted shopping at Fred Segal in West Hollywood on Wednesday, August 14, wearing a long mint sweater and tan boots as she showed off her new engagement ring.

E! News reports that Ashley and her fiance Christopher were also spotted running errands together in Los Angeles. Tisdale held hands with her soon-to-be husband as they crossed the street and held up her left hand proudly to show off her newest accessory to the media, E! News notes.

The ring appears to have one massive square-cut diamond surrounded by pavé stones, the website reports.

Ashley's rocker fiance popped the question in New York City on top of the Empire State Building last Thursday night.

"Best night of my life. We're on top of the world," she tweeted later that evening.

The two first went public with their relationship in December 2012 when they were spotted holding hands in Los Angeles.

Ashley talked about her relationship with Christopher to Maxim earlier this year, ABC News reports.

"There's definitely a thing where I like the dark, mysterious bad boy," she told Maxim.

"I'm not into the 'game' so much," she continued. "If I like you, I'll confront you and be open about it. Then I expect you to come after me."

Ashley Tisdale was originally a Disney actress, and starred in "High School Musical." Her upcoming film is "Scary Movie 5."
