Android Apps Free Download: Game Wants You To Throw Your Phone In the Air, Banned in App Store

For Norwegian app developer CarrotPop, gone were the days when games are played solely within the device's system. Now, they let you play with your smartphone in a manner that is so risky that Apple banned it from their App Store.

The game, wittingly named S.M.T.H. (Send Me To Heaven), is an application that smartphone owners can play by throwing their mobile phones upward. It does not matter how, where, or when (if you haven't asked WHY yet), as long as the phone takes some flight and moves upward, the application will automatically detect the height it reached for a particular throw.

Once your score is saved, it will be ranked by World Top 10, Week Top 10, and Day Top 10. Take note however, that horizontal movement would not be computed by the application. So people who want to throw their smartphones as if they were baseball balls to their friends, S.M.T.H. will only calculate the height of the throw, not how far it went.

To remind phone users, S.M.T.H. also provides a simple disclaimer that goes like this:

"Warning: Author and distributor of S.M.T.H. is not liable for any damages or injuries arising out of playing the S.M.T.H. game."

Due to the possible damages the game might cause to iPhone models, Apple was fast to ban the app from the App Store.

According to the apps developer, Petr Svarovsky, "Apple thought it was violating one of the rules for submission as it was encouraging behavior which could lead to a damage of iOS device," as he said to LA Times.

S.M.T.H. is ready to download from the Android Play Store. Just make sure to read the disclaimer and some reminders. Most of all, make sure your phone stays intact after a toss or two.
