True Blood Season 5 Spoiler! Mainstay cast, Alexander Skarsgard, reportedly gave co-star Michael McMillian an "inappropriate" sendoff gift after his character's [Steve Newlin] demise on the HBO series.

On an interview with Entertainment Weekly, McMillian revealed that everyone in the show gets applause when their character dies during the table read.

After his death in the latest episode ["True Blood" Season 5 Episode 9], the actor did not only get applause from the entire cast.

The actor also admitted to Entertainment Weekly that he received "a very personal sendoff in the gag reel, which nobody but cast and crew saw" from co-actor Alexander Skarsgard.

However, the actor further added, "It was somewhat inappropriate and somewhat hilarious, but beyond that I really can't describe it too much. [laughs]"

When asked whether there are skin involved, the actor's response is a simple, "There was a little skin involved. Yes."

Michael McMillian  reactions to his character's demise

The ninth episode of "True Blood" Season 5 showed the demise of Steve Newlin by forcing him into the sun. When the actor was asked to choose between forcing him into the sun or tearing his genitals off, the actor admitted he'd prefer "True Death."

McMillian  told Entertainment Weekly, "I would like to die with genitals intact, I think. And it's a fitting end for Steve too. Meeting the sun was, of course, the only way he should have gone. That was his whole thing in season 2 [with the Fellowship of the Sun], so it was a nice twist of irony at the end."
