Melanie Griffith Reunites With Ex-Husband Steven Bauer of `Breaking Bad’ at Movie Premiere; Bashes Hollywood; Where’s Antonio? Writing a Script for His Wife

Melanie Griffith, the “Working Girl” in the black dress, reunited with her ex-husband, Steven Bauer, who had a long recurring role on “Breaking Bad,” for their first public outing in 20 years at the premiere of her movie "Dark Tourist." Melanie Griffith followers were left wondering where’s Antonio Banderas?

Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas have been the subject of rumors that they’ve been having trouble. Melanie Griffith stepping on the red carpet without Antonio Banderas is raising red flags.
A source told TMZ that Melanie Griffith and the “Scarface” star Steven Bauer remained close after they divorced in 1987 and have brought up their son, Alexander Bauer, 28, together. Alexander was also at the premiere.

Melanie Griffith and Steven Bauer, who are both 56 years old, were married from 1982 to 1987.

Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith got married in 2006. The star couple have a daughter, Stella. Besides the screening, it looks like Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith have a strong marriage. They celebrated their birthdays together in Spain this month. Melanie Griffith was also married to Don Johnson, the “Miami Vice” actor. The couple have a daughter.

Melanie Griffith won the Golden Globe and got a Best Actress Oscar nomination in 1981 for her role in the 1988 hit film “Working Girl.” Melanie Griffith is the daughter Alfred Hitchcock actress Tippi Hendren.

Griffith says she’s not getting the roles she used to. She told FOX411, “It is what I never thought would happen when I was in my 20s and 30s, hearing actresses bitch about not getting any work when they turned 50. Now I understand it, it is just different. In a lot of ways, (Hollywood) a very superficial place. It is all about youth and beauty, for women anyway. You just have to keep biting and pushing your way through, doing theater. I believe in just being really good and working on my craft which is how I started in the first place. I really like that as opposed to the fame part of it.”

Griffith said even the scripts she does see aren’t worth doing, “In this day and age ... most of the scripts are so sh**ty and stupid and superficial. It’s not that I get that much stuff anymore. But I do read my husband’s scripts and what he is offered… The movie business has changed. I don’t go to the movies these days because there is nothing to see. There is not very much, some little movies, but the big movies are all cartoons and super heroes.”

Antonio Banderas wrote a screenplay specifically for Griffith, but he’s been “very busy and has a lot to do” before it can be developed.

Melanie Griffith’s plastic surgery and rehab have been discussed more than her movie career lately. Melanie Griffith was in rehab three times, 1988, 2000, and 2009. Griffith said she started drinking after she and Steven Bauer got divorced.

In 1994, Melanie Griffith told Vanity Fair, "I was never loved unconditionally. Coke, booze give you a feeling, a physical sensation ... a buzz inside your body that takes the place of something you should have had when you were a child.

On her website, Melanie Griffith wrote "Overcoming addiction is tough but it can be made easier if you have someone that can offer support. My husband and family supported me so much through this journey and continue to do so."

“Dark Tourist” opens on Friday.
