Play Station 4 Release Date: Sony Finally Announces PS4 Launch, Plans To Rival Xbox One

If you grew up playing Assassin's Creed, Call Of Duty, and NBA Live, then this is definitely great news.

Sony just announced the release date of its latest Play Station, PS4 during the Gamescom Expo in Cologne, Germany on Tuesday.

Following the huge success of its previous Play Station models, Sony is set to release PS4 on November 15 in North America, while Europe gets it a few weeks later, Nov. 29. According to the announcement, the latest model will be available in over 32 countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

On the other hand, Sony's biggest rival Microsoft is only releasing its Xbox One in just 12 countries, which takes away another point in their tightly contested market competition. In fact, some analysts say that the Xbox One might be released earlier than what was initially announced during the E3 2013 event in June.

Some of the game titles which are included in the PS4's initial games include:

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag (Ubisoft)
Battlefield 4 (EA)
Call of Duty: Ghosts (Activision)
#DRIVECLUB (Sony)
FIFA 14 (EA)
Just Dance 2014 (Ubisoft)
Killzone: Shadow Fall (Sony)
Knack (Sony)
LEGO® MarvelTM Superheroes (Warner Bros.)
Madden 25 (EA)
NBA 2K14 (2K Games)
NBA Live (EA)
Need For Speed: Rivals (EA)
Skylanders Swap Force (Activision)
Watch_Dogs (Ubisoft)

There has been great anticipation for the PS4 release, with Sony reporting more than a million pre-orders on their website. With its impending release, it's once again high time to find out which game console is the best in the world. PS4 is said to be sold at $399.
