Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Release Date: Function Problems, Software Issues Affect Android Overall User Experience

A couple of months ago, Google released version 4.2 of its latest Android OS, Jelly Bean. However, there are some brands which opt to skip the update and head straight to 4.3 because apparently, it was just a minor update according to HTC executive Jason Mackenzie.

But now that the 4.3 update is here, a lot of developers and users have expressed their dismay when dealing with the update's current problems and issues.

Aside from slower performance speed as reported by IB Times, models which run the new update have also experienced Wi-Fi connection problems. According to some users, their smartphones fail to reconnect in Wi-Fi hotspots and areas which they have already 'saved' in their phone's settings. According to IB Times, this issue is the result of a defective AOSP Issue Tracker.

However, some users have figured out a temporary solution to this problem.

They would just turn off their Wi-Fi connection, and then re-enable it. By then, it would be able to detect saved Wi-Fi hotspots and locations. Stil, there are issues which do not have solutions as simple as that.

Take for instance, Google Nexus' built-in app, Netflix. Upon opening the app, the smartphone would just freeze and would become unusable until it has been hard reset. Other problems include splash page freezing, random boot-ups, bootloops, and others which may let some people think their phone needs a repair, when actually it was just caused by the 4.3 update.
