As Lady Gaga is making an attempt to top the charts again, her look alike, newcomer Meital Dohan, is proud to be compared to Mother Monster.




If Meital looks familiar, it might be because she use to have a reoccurring role as Yael Hoffman, one of Andy's love interest on the Showtime series "Weeds."




In the music world, the 33-year-old actress started gaining attention in 2011 when her "Yummy Boyz" music video went viral.









She also did a song with Sean Kingston in 2012 called "On Ya."









Now, she is really trying to break through with her new single "Give Us Back Love" which is on the UK Cool chart and DMC Buzz Chart. Her goal is that her art "gives us back loud love and light in the universe."




"I'm hopeful that people will open up and be more loving to one another," she says. "I want to give them back love."

Just like Gaga, Dohan is a lover of extravagant costumes and wearing pounds of make up. Although she is trying to make an individual imprint on the industry, she doesn't mind being grouped with the "Applause" singer, someone she greatly admires.




"That's pretty cool," says the singer with Israeli decent. "She's a pop star I respect.




In fact, Meital doesn't mind being compared to a few iconic women in music.




"You know, comparisons with Debbie Harry, Ke$ha, Katy Perry, Madonna ... it's all good," she told USA Today.
