"New Girl" season 3 spoiler alert! Nick and Jess are likely to mess up their relationship, the cast and crew say, but hopefully Schmidt will come to the rescue of the new couple.

Towards the end of season 2 of "New Girl," we saw roommates Nick (Jake Johnson) and Jess (Zooey Deschanel) finally get together. But the actors and creator of "New Girl" aren't so sure Nick and Jess are going to do a great job at first when it comes to their new relationship.

Wet Paint reports that creator Liz Meriwether admitted in a behind-the-scenes featurette obtained by TVLine: "I'm pretty sure they're gonna really mess it up in some way, but I don't know exactly how."

Jake agreed: "I think there's a good chance Nick and Jess are going to screw up  the Nick and Jess thing, but hopefully they don't screw it up too bad."

But not all hope is lost.

"I would like to see Nick and Jess break up," Lamorne Morris (Winston) revealed, according to Wet Paint, but then added, "Then maybe get back together later on."

According to Hypable, Jess will try and spice her relationship with Nick up in the fourth episode, by turning to Schmidt for advice in the bedroom.

"In the fourth episode, Jess will be relying on one of her roommates for lessons on how to please Nick in the bedroom," E! Online reports.

Fans of "New Girl" know that turning for Schmidt may seem like a good idea at first, but usually ends in disaster.
