Sherlock Season 3 Air Date Rumored January 1, 2014? Producer Denies Confirmation As Benedict Cumberbatch Filming 'His Last Vow' Dazzles Fans

As "Sherlock" continues filming season 3, an air date for the series has surfaced on the web, stating a January 1, 2014 premiere, presumably for the UK.

Twitter user Blogtor Who, who is reportedly a reliable source for spoilers and leaks, recently tweeted out a "Sherlock" season 3 air date, causing quite the stir amongst fans.

What's a bit confusing at this time that is it is unclear if this rumored air date is purely for the UK, or is in fact alluding to the PBS air date for the US. Nevertheless, a number of responses to the "Sherlock" season 3 air date have risen, most notably from "Sherlock" producer Sue Vertue.

One thing to note is that Vertue did not necessarily deny the air date as much as state there was no confirmation. If that is the case, it is curious that someone would get such an important bit of news without the producer on the series knowing first.

Currently, "Sherlock" is still filming episode 3 of season 3, titled "His Last Vow."

With Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman on set, the latest filming session has caused thousands of fans to show up and observe the actors as they shoot.

And as expected, some dazzling pictures have surfaced of Benedict Cumberbatch, as shown by Entertainmentwise.

Reportedly, filming for "Sherlock" season 3 will conclude early September.
