The dead man was floating just south of the Queensboro Bridge, Louis CK told David Letterman Tuesday night.

Louis C.K. told Letterman that he can't afford his new boat...but it is giving him some creepy-crawly adventures.

Louis C.K. was boating around Manhattan and heard a Coast Guard call over the open-channel radio that there was a body in the water.

Just as that occurred, C.K. instantly spotted the dead man. The two were the only people there for a few minutes.

"This was a person, this is a story, this is a life and he's just a floater now," C.K. told Letterman.

Louis C.K. and the dead man spent a few creepy minutes together in the water. He wasn't sure what to do.

His instinct? Take a cell-phone selfie with the body, he joked.

But nah. Louis C.K. just waited quietly with the dead body for help to come.

He later learned that the man had jumped from the bridge.

C.K. was on "The Late Show" to promote his new Woody Allen film, "Blue Jasmine."
