‘Homeland’ Season 3 Trailer: Brody And Carrie Reunite? Adele Sings Cover Of 'Lovesong,’ Promising A ‘More Emotional’ Show [VIDEO]

A new "Homeland" trailer was released, teasing fans about what is to come in season 3. Showtime released a new poster and trailer featuring Brody (Damian Lewis) and Carrie (Claire Danes.)

The new trailer, titled "Haunted," is set to Adele's cover of The Cure's "Lovesong," DigitalSpy.com reports.

The trailer depicts Carrie and Brody reunited, but then only reveals that the pair remain torn apart, the website notes.

Saul (Mandy Patinkin) is also seen settling into his new role within the CIA, though the trailer suggests his relationship with Carrie remains tense after the events that occurred in season 2.

"There are bigger developments character-wise this year than there have been," Fox 21's Bert Salke recently claimed. "It's a more emotional show this year, and 2.0 means that other characters are going to come in."

A poster that was also just released features the trio with the tagline "Pledge Allegiance," The Huffington Post reports.

E! Online reports that the phrase "Pledge Allegiance" refers to the choice Carrie will have to make between her mentor Saul, or remain loyal to her lover, Brody. The website reports that Carrie will definitely pick one side by episode three.

According to ScreenCrush.com, "Homeland" season 3 will pick up during the aftermath of the terror attack on the US intelligence apparatus, which allegedly framed Nick Brody and prompted a global manhunt for the world's most-wanted terrorist. Carrie and Saul will be forced to pick up the pieces of their professional and personal lives, while simultaneously being swept up in the political and media firestorm surrounding the terror attack and the subsequent search for Brody, ScreenCrush.com writes.

"Homeland" returns to Showtime on Sunday, September 29.
