Nexus 5 Release Date Set For Thanksgiving Day (November 28); Google Subsidiary, Motorola Mobility, Working On The Upcoming Android Smartphone?

Nexus 5 release date may already be slated for Thanksgiving 2013.

There have been a lot of Nexus 5 release date rumors swirling in the online world these days but one of the recent news suggests that Google's newest phone will arrive on Thanksgiving. This is according to a report from International Business Times.

It is noted on the report that LG Nexus 4, the predecessor of Nexus 5, had its launching November 2012. Because of this it can be expected that the Nexus 5 release date will be set not later than November of this year.

Also, since the new Nexus 7 is creating a huge buzz in the mobile world today, the internet search engine company may use that for Google Nexus 5's arrival. And since, as posted by IB Times, it is not likely that Nexus 5 release date will happen this fall, experts are now guessing that the next-generation smart phone may arrive on Thanksgiving, set to happen on November 28.

However, the news emerging about Nexus 5 release date still remain to be unofficial since Google is still keeping their silence about it. Furthermore, aside from the issue about Nexus 5 release date, it is still unclear until now which company will manufacture the smartphone. There are claims supporting that LG (creator of Nexus 4) is the one producing the device.

However, there are other sources who are saying that Motorola Mobility is the one working on Google Nexus 5. As confirmed by Taylor Wimberly via a post on Google+, Motorola has been hired by Google to produce the Nexus 5. Motorola Mobility is now a Google subsidiary after it acquiring the phone company last year.

As for the Nexus 5 specs, rumors tell that it will be equipped with 8-core processor with 2.3 GHz and 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 13MP rear camera, 3300 mAh battery, and a 5-inch Full HD screen resolution display.
