Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are nominated for six awards this year, including Video of the Year with "Thrift Shop" and Best Hip Hop Video with "Can't Hold Us," MTV reports.

As independent artists, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis had complete creative control over every aspect of their careers, according to MTV, which includes their outlandish "Thrift Shop" music video, which features funky outfits and antics.

The "Thrift Shop" music video has more than 400 million views on YouTube, and was the #1 song on the Hot 100, the website reports.

Their follow-up music video, "Can't Hold Us," garnered similar success.

Macklemore & Lewis are the only artist to have three different videos nominated at the VMA show 2013, MTV reports.

Justin Timberlake is tied with the artists for most nominations at the MTV VMAs 2013 tonight. His video for "Mirrors" premiered via a prime-time TV special hosted by Ryan Seacrest, according to MTV. It's dedicated to his grandparents, William (who passed away last year) and Sadie, and depicts their relationship from courtship to death.

Justin Timberlake's other videos, including the stylish "Suit & Tie," and the sexy music video for "Tunnel Vision," make JT a force to be reckoned with during tonight's show.

Both artists have been very successful this year. Tune in tonight to see who will take home the award for Video of the Year, on the MTV live stream website: https://www.mtv.com/ontv/vma/
