Nexus 7 LTE Release Date Set For September In Japan And Italy; US Launch Of Google 7-Inch Tablet Still Unknown

Nexus 7 LTE release date may be set for September, at least in Japan.

The Nexus 7 LTE release date for the US is still unknown, but reports claim that the new Google tablet may arrive in Japan in September. Aside from Nexus 7 LTE release date slated for September in Japan, it is also reported that Italy will get the device on the same month.

Despite these news about Nexus 7 LTE release date in two countries, Google is still keeping its mum about the exact launch of the Android tablet in the United States. During the Nexus 7 launch earlier in July, it was revealed that the tablet will arrive in the coming weeks. However, the internet tech firm is still not announcing an official Nexus 7 LTE release date, particularly for AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon compatible variants.

For now, reports are only stating a possible Nexus 7 release date timeframe for Italy and Japan. In fact, according to a post from Gotta Be Mobile, Asus Italy already confirmed a Nexus 7 LTE release date several weeks ago, which is set for September. And more recently, it appears that Nexus 7 LTS has also been confirmed to arrive in September, although there was no specific date announced yet. Reportedly, the Nexus 7 LTE will be offered by top network carriers in Japan such as Softbank and DoCoMo.

Meanwhile, the Wi-fi variant of Nexus 7 will hit Japan on August 28, which is only a month after its arrival in the US. But still, US market is still missing the LTE model of Nexus 7.

The Google Nexus 7 is currently competing in the market against products like the iPad Mini and Kindle Fire HD.
