Upcoming Android Phones 2013: HTC To Unveil New Flagship Phone In September, Alongside Samsung's Galaxy Note 3

Since 2011, it has been a downhill journey for HTC, which was once the world's top smartphone manufacturer. And according to reports by BGR and TechCrunch, the problem lies in the company's chief executive.

Still, the Tawainese-based phone maker aims to bounce back after its current flagship, the HTC One, failed to save its miserable state. And it plans to achieve this with the help of HTC One Max.

According to GSM Arena, the upcoming Android superphone will feature a 2.1MP front camera, 4MP ultrapixel rear camera, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box, Sense UI 5.5, and a rumored bump in battery capacity.

The HTC One Max, which is expected to take on Samsung's Galaxy Note 3, Apple's iPhone 5S, and LG's L2, will also boast a 5.9" screen with 1920x1080p, a Snapdragon 800 chipset, (quad-core 2.3GHz Krait 400 CPU, Adreno 330 GPU) and 2GB of RAM.

In spite the handful of rumors circulating over the Web about the One Max, no one has ideas yet whether the HTC's new device will have a fingerprint scanner as well like the iPhone 5S, or a stylus similar to the Note 3.

The HTC One Max will be announced at the IFA event on September 4.
