Mission Impossible 5 Movie Casting Ongoing; Tom Cruise Asks Public, ‘Who Do You Think Ethan Hunt's Love Interest Should Be?
Mission Impossible 5 movie preparations are underway, and fans of the film series are waiting with bated breath on who will play what in the movie. Tom Cruise, who will reprise his role as senior covert operations field agent Ethan Hunt for the fifth time, stokes the fire of curiosity a bit in his Twitter account.

The actor's followers suggested names like Michelle Rodriguez and Gina Carano. There are no indications or confirmations about this; Wikipedia, however, confirms that Paula Patton is to return as her character, Jane Carter, a member of Hunt's team. IMDB lists Jeremy Renner and Ving Rhames as among those who are rumored to be possible cast members. One thing is for certain - Christopher MacQuarrie will be directing the film. He first confirmed this in his Twitter account on August 6, and Tom responded in kind, saying, "MISSION ACCEPTED! It's OFFICIAL! @ChrisMcquarrie is the director of #MissionImpossible 5! #TeamTC"

The director worked on the 2012 action thriller "Jack Reacher" which also starred Cruise. He is also an Academy Award winning screenwriter, and it is said that there a possibility that he would help in polishing the script for MI5. Drew Pearce, co-writer of Ironman 3, handles the movie's screenplay.
The Mission Impossible 5 movie is a part of a series that had had been generally well-received by the movie-going public. It is the 15th highest-grossing series of all time, with a worldwide box office total revenue of $2,096,647,856 for the first four films.
The first movie was released in 1996, when Tom (and everyone else) was 17 years younger; but age does not seem to deter the actor from tackling physically-challenging roles. Shooting for the fifth instalment is said to start next year and is expected to be released in 2015.
