Alec Baldwin’s daughter is still a newborn. For some people that has a mellowing influence, but not when it comes to Alec Baldwin and paparazzi photographers. Alec Baldwin got into a into street scuffle with a New York City photographer yesterday. Witnesses and photos from the scene showed Alec Baldwin pinning the picture snatcher against the hood of a parked car.

After the incident, Alec Baldwin’s wife took to Twitter to quote the author W.H. Auden. “We are here on earth to do good unto others. What the others are here for, I have no idea.”

According to CNN, the Alec Baldwin photographer called the cops who responded to check out the scene. Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Thomas, were walking through his Greenwich Village New York City neighborhood when a photographer approached the couple. The photographer asked Alec Baldwin and his about their new daughter Carmen. Hilaria went into a tea shot to get away from the photographer. Alec Baldwin confronted the photographer in front of several witnesses. The star of “30 Rock” grabbed Paul Adao, a veteran photographer, on Greenwich Village street in front of several witnesses.

Alec Baldwin approached the photographer and pinned him to the hood of a parked car. When the cops came Alec Baldwin and the photographer both admitted that they pushed and shoved each other.

Neither Alec Baldwin nor the photographer pressed charges.

A police source confirmed that Alec Baldwin and Adao both called 911, but neither filed a formal report. Neither Alec Baldwin nor the photographer were arrested.

One witness told the media that Alec Baldwin went berserk after he spotted at least two photographers trailing him and his wife, Hilaria, 29, while they were taking one of their first strolls in public since the birth to their daughter. Carmen Gabriela, the baby, was not seen. One picture showed Alec Baldwin’s wife wagging her finger at someone.

Erick Nguyen, the manager of Saigon Market on University Place, across the street from the scuffle scene said “Alec didn’t want them taking any more pictures, so he went over and confronted him. They were jawing. Baldwin grabbed him and threw him against the car.”

Adao’s ex-wife Roberta Adao said, “Some of these paps are really pushy, but Paul isn’t one of them. He’s a little more respectful — and he’s got kids of his own.”

This isn’t the first time Alec Baldwin has had a confrontation with paparazzi. The actor has a history of trying to avoid being photographed. Last years, Baldwin was the subject of a criminal investigation after a Daily News photographer said Alec Baldwin hit him in the face during a scuffle on a New York City sidewalk.
