The NSYNC Reunion at the 2013 MTV VMAS was a big success, and fans of the Bye Bye Bye boy band were happy to see their favorite song.  However, according to JC Chasez, the NSYNC reunion at the 2013 MTV VMAS was just a one time favor for Justin Timberlake, and no NSYNC reunion tours are planned.

JC Chasez went on Ryan Seacrest's morning show to talk about the NSYNC Reunion at the 2013 MTV VMAS, saying: "It was a matter of time. Everybody would ask us, 'When are you guys going to do something?'  Literally just a few days ago, Justin gave me a buzz and he pretty much said, 'Hey man, listen, I'm getting this award and they've given me a pile of time to perform, and we started our careers at MTV and I think we should get the band back together.'"

"We did.  Just for a minute, though. It really was about [Justin Timberlake], and all that he's accomplished...He wanted to acknowledge that part of his career, and so we all decided to do it."

JC Chasez described the emotions of the NSYNC reunion for the 2013 MTV VMAS performance with Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass. "Two minutes after seeing everybody you feel like no time has passed. Essentially everybody has remained the same. And again, we all see each other at different times, working on different things, but this is the first time that we had a rehearsal together in over 10 years. So everybody's going, 'Can we go through this slowly one more time?'

Even though it can be difficult to remember old moves, the NSYNC Reunion at the 2013 MTV VMAS went well due to practice: "That part was pretty funny, but...30 minutes from the rehearsal, everything is memory, muscle memory, and everything started to click, and before you know it we were good to go."

The NSYNC reunion performance for the 2013 MTV VMAS was the "worst-kept secret ever" according to Chasez, but "it was a lot of fun, it was great for laughs and we hope that people enjoyed it."

"When I say I didn't tell anyone, I was, like, lying to people.  Look, if only six or seven people know, no one is going to be able to find out. And I'm telling you, I don't know if there are cameras in the ceiling, wherever...it is unbelievable. We were in rehearsal and all of a sudden Lance walks in and he's like, 'Everybody knows now'...and we were like, 'How in the world did these people figure it out?'"
