American Horror Story Coven Plot Synopsis Revealed: Official Premiere Date And Time Released, Taissa Farmiga's Character Unveiled!

"American Horror Story: Coven" will officially haunt your dreams starting October 9 at 10 pm, as the official premiere date and time has been confirmed by E! Online.

Like "American Horror Story: Murder House" and "American Horror Story: Asylum," "American Horror Story: Coven" will consist of 13 episodes, and will air starting October 9 until January.

This season, the cast will consist of Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe, Kathy Bates, Patti Lupone, Emma Roberts, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Denis O'Hare, Evan Peters, Jamie Brewer, Gabourey Sidibe, Taissa Farmiga, and Angela Bassett.

As previously reported, the plot "American Horror Story: Coven" will center around witchcraft and witches, and it appears the Salem witches will face off against the voodoo priestesses.

But even better, an official plot synopsis has been released, giving us even more insight into the season.

"Over 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind and young girls are being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves."

"Wrapped up in the turmoil is new arrival, Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), who is harboring a terrifying secret of her own. Alarmed by the recent aggression, Fiona (Lange), the long-absent Supreme, sweeps back into town, determined to protect the Coven and hell-bent on decimating anyone who gets in her way."

The plot definitely seems like Taissa Farmiga and Jessica Lange will be at the center of "American Horror Story: Coven!"

In addition, does this mean Emma Roberts and Gabourey Sidibe will portray young witches in need of the Supreme's protection as well?
