Michael Jackson Songs Coming Back to the Radio; Prince of Pop Will Join Justin Bieber; Timbaland Working on Posthumous Michael Jackson Project

Michael Jackson songs will soon be making a radio-friendly comeback in two separately announced projects. Justin Bieber and Michael Jackson will unite on a track and Timbaland is hard at work on his own posthumous Michael Jackson project.

Justin Bieber’s take on Michael Jackson songs came to light over the weekend online. A recording of Justin Bieber singing along with Michael Jackson songs brought an onslaught of news items and social media fan appreciation. The Guardian reported that British Radio played Justin Bieber singing the Michael Jackson song “Slave 2 the Rhythm.”

Then on Friday and Saturday, Justin Bieber took to Twitter to enthuse about Michael Jackson songs. On Friday, Justin Bieber tweeted “Excited for what is to come. M.J. set the bar. Not only for music but for being an entertainer and how you treat the fans. Wish he was here …” Justin Bieber also tweeted a picture of himself with Michael Jackson.

The Michael Jackson songs that Justin Bieber leaked were taken down from SoundCloud and the videos were removed from YouTube. The YouTube statement said the Michael Jackson songs video “is no longer available due to a copyright claim by S.M.E.” Sony Music Entertainment owns Michael Jackson songs. Sony reported that some Michael Jackson songs were stolen from its Web site in 2012.

Other Michael Jackson songs news was reported on Vulture, which said that the producer Timbaland is working on a project involving Michael Jackson songs. In a video that has since been made unavailable Timbalake had a new track called “Chicago” that should be coming up soon. The track has Michael Jackson songs written all over it. Vulture wondered in print whether the Timbaland project is part of something larger that has to do with Michael Jackson songs.
