2. The Serbian champion proposed to his girlfriend over the weekend in Monte Carlo, where he currently lives, the magazine reports.

3. Novak and Jelena have been dating for eight years.

4. Ristic is a former swimwear model.

5. Jelena earned a master's degree in management from Milan's Bocconi University.

6. According to People magazine, Novak's fiance "spends most of her time cheering on her six-time Grand Slam champion beau on tour and runs the Novak Djokovic Foundation, which benefits underprivileged children in their home country."

7. Novak and Jelena are known as the "Will and Kate of Serbia," People magazine reports.

8. The newly engaged couple plan to get married next year.
