Man of Steel 2, Superman Beats Batman ‘With A Flick Of His Finger;’ No Robin On This Sequel?

"Man of Steel" writer David Goyer talks about the Superman vs Batman confrontation on the sequel. Bets are off as far as he's concerned. Also, there will probably not be a Robin appearance on the sequel.

David Goyer had a chat with the Associated Press, and stresses the point that writers are not supposed to be puppets for the fans. Anyway, Batman Vs Superman is further along than we think so fan opinion really won't make much difference:

"One of the things that has been fun for us, is we're a bit a further along than what I think people realize. From a fan point of view, we're conscious of that when you're working on these things, but you can't let yourself be paralyzed by that. At the end of the day you still have to create something. And if you try and think, 'Well what would the fans like' then you stop being creative. It's sort of like where does it end? You have to write the story that you want to write, and hope that people want to see it."

The big question on everyone's mind is, who will win in the confrontation between the iconic heroes? He doesn't exactly spoil it, just stated the obvious:

"Most comic book purists would say Batman [would win] because he is the ultimate strategist. Even though it makes no sense whatsoever. If Superman just flicked his finger Batman would be done for."

Meanwhile, casting rumors of Robin should cease as Robin does not appear in the storyline. Casting leaks within DC were concerning the female character. If there is a Robin, it should be on a lead status, and those slots have already been filled out.

It should also be noted that while Batman is here, it is STILL a Man of Steel sequel, not the actual Batman reboot. Having Robin may wear out the Caped Crusader's welcome.
