Miss World 2013 is Miss Phillipines Megan Young!  Megan Lynne Young is 23 years old and 5'8" tall.  She is an actress who wants to be a director someday.

The 2013 Miss World pageant was held last Saturday night in the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center in Bali, Indonesia. Megan was the first Filipina to ever win since the Philippines started participating in the competition in 1966.  

Miss World 2013 Miss Phillipines Megan Young was born on February 27, 1990 in Alexandria, Virginia, USA. She has a Filipino mother and an American father. She moved to the Philippines at the age of 10 and she has a sister named Lauren and a brother named Victor.

At the age of 15 Miss World 2013 Miss Phillipines Megan Young appeared on the Filipino talent show StarStruck. After finishing in the top six, Megan has gone on to act in Filipino shows and appear on reality TV. She has  hosted several shows for the network Studio 23.

Currently Miss World 2013 Miss Phillipines Megan Young is studying digital film-making at De la Salle - College of St. Benilde in Manila. Young aspires to be a director someday.

Miss World 2013 Miss Phillipines Megan Young went up against 126 other international beauties, succeeding the 2012 Miss World winner from China, Wenxia Yu. 

The Miss World 2013 pageant attracted some controversy due to some Muslim objection to the bikini round, which was eliminated from the show.

Miss World 2013 Mis Phillipines Megan Young said: "I treasure a core value of humanity and that guides people why they act the way they do...I will use this to show other people how they can understand each other... as one, we can help society."

Miss World 2013 Miss Phillipines Megan Young didn't forget her country when she won, saying in Tagalog: "Salamat sa mga kababayan ko. Mahal na mahal ko kayo." This is Tagalog for, "Thank you to my countrymen, I love you very much."
