“The X-Files” was a television show that ran on Fox from 1993 to 2002 following in the tradition of mystery detective shows like “The Night Stalker” that became a major cult hit and geek obsession when it ran on Fox from 1993 to 2002. Gillian Anderson, played FBI Special Agent Dana Scully and David Duchovny played Fox “Spooky” Mulder. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson played FBI agents who investigated unexplained phenomenon and odd monster people while looking for Duchovny’s long-lost sister who disappeared in a UFO when he was a kid. Two movies were made of series, one filled in the gaps over the summer break, the other made when the series ended. At Comic-Con this summer, Anderson suggested that a third X-files movie could be a possibility.

Young Vic Artistic Director David Lan said “This was Gillian and Benedict working together. They sought each other out, and went through what they’d like to do, and came up with Blanche. With these two people involved there are going to be fireworks on the stage.”
