Breaking Bad Series Finale Spoilers: Walter White Gets Satisfaction; Who Finally Got The Ricin? (Video) (Audio)

Breaking Bad Series Finale Spoilers: “Breaking Bad” lived up to all its hype last night as we say goodbye to Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. Vince Gilligan wrote and directed the Breaking Bad series finale and tied up all loose ends. Breaking Bad leaves a lot of bodies dead or dying.

Breaking Bad’s Walter White finished all family business last night. Yes, the ending was completely satisfying, the acting was top-notch, the writing and direction was 99.6 percent pure blue. But I wasn’t happy. I wanted Walter White to thrive. I wanted him to get the remaining $69 million that Todd’s uncle had buried on his compound and retire to Tahiti or something. I wanted Walter White to get away with it.

Oh, he did. I know. In the ‘Breaking Bad’ finale, vengeance is meted out. The family is made secure through a third-party benefactor and Jesse goes screaming off into the distance. But there was Bryan Cranston, lying on the floor. Surrounded by cops. A smile growing on his face.

The “Breaking Bad” finale was all about chemistry, right? Walter White may have been a chemist, but Vince Gilligan is an alchemist. He set up impossible situations and then found his way out. He let the actors shine. He let the writing ring. The chemistry was built on a perfect formula made glorious in its imperfections.

Talking about the “Breaking Bad” finale, Vince Gilligan said “We needed resolution.”

Walter White, the outlaw, finds his Breaking Bad finale theme song. “Out in the west Texas town of El Paso, I fell in love with a Mexican girl.” After beating the cartel, the government and his own partners, Walter White returns to New Mexico in a car he steals in New Hampshire and “one little kiss and Felina, Goodbye.”

And there were a lot of goodbyes. The Breaking Bad Chemistry teacher uses his ingenuity to rig a machine gun. To slip the ricin into someone’s favorite sugar substitute. To leave his money to his family while still getting revenge, with the help of the dubious “best hit men” in New Mexico.
