Fans Cry Foul Over Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Teasers With No Footage: Trailer Being 'Specially Written And Shot' For 'The Day Of The Doctor'
"Doctor Who" fans may be loyal, but they are less than enthused about the promised 50th Anniversary teasers, which turned out to only be graphics without any footage whatsoever.
The first "Doctor Who" 50th Anniversary teaser introduces the hashtag #SAVETHEDAY accompanied by a voiceover from Matt Smith.
The second teaser highlights the date of the 50 Anniversary Special, November 23, 2013.
And that's it folks. And "Doctor Who" definitely feel a little shortchanged over the brevity of these teasers.
"This reveals SO much about the 50th," writes thegentleassassin on YouTube.
"Wow. Britain pays for Doctor Who and all it gets is a 5 second video with the date, after the trailer has already been showed to people who could afford to be at Comic Con this year? Thanks BBC," adds TimeLordLullaby.

Despite such outrage, it appears an actual trailer is being produced.
According to BBC, a trailer is being "specially written and shot" for the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special. It will be "bold, brilliant and unexpected."
Here's to hoping, given the long wait fans have had to endure.
