Perrie Edwards called out a Zayn Malik fan on Twitter for bringing up the controversy surrounding the engagement ring her One Direction fiance gave to her.

Perrie Edwards lashed out at Zayn Malik and One Direction fans on Twitter, who accused Perrie Edwards of dating Zayn Malik for attention, and claiming that she swapped her engagement ring from her right to her left hands, depending on which hand was facing paparazzi cameras, Unreality TV reports.

The Twitter user asked: "Do you out your ring on wherever the camera is facing?"

Another added: "Shouldn't her ring be on the left hand?"

The first fan replied: "thank you shes a dumbass I'm convinced she puts the ring on whatever hand is facing the camera i give up." [sic]

The girls may have thought that their comments would go undetected, but Perrie noticed them soon after they were posted and replied using the Little Mix official Twitter account (@LittleMixOffic), saying: "@spicelattezayn @funkiharry Actually that's a different ring, your the dumbass..."

It's also been reported that Zayn blocked the fans, though he didn't directly comment on the incident, according to Unreality TV.

As we previously reported, Perrie Edwards has admitted that being in a long distance relationship with her fiance Zayn isn't easy, and she recently gave some tips on how she keeps their relationship alive while they Skype.

Perry told The Mirror: "Do you know what, I do have to make an effort with make-up when I'm talking to Zayn on Skype.

"It makes you feel better. But you only have to put a bit on and it looks really good.

"I try to find some good lighting too. Sometimes I tip the lamp so it looks like I appear airbrushed and I'm like, 'Oh, I've just woken up', but really I haven't. But I look flawless because of the make-up.

"Or I go to a window for some natural light sometimes... that's the best."

Zayn Malik, 20, proposed to Perrie, also 20, last month, and it was first made public when she showed off her diamond engagement ring on the red carpet at One Direction's "This Is Us" film premiere in London, The Mirror reports.
