‘Watch Dogs’ PS4 Edition Runs At 30 FPS, Similar To Xbox One; Release Date For Current And Next-Gen Platforms Already Set For November

The "Watch Dogs" PS4 edition, as well as the Xbox One version, will run at 30 FPS.

The creative director of Watch Dogs, Jonathan Morin, shared to VideoGamer.com, "Right now the frame rate we're focusing on [is] a steady 30[FPS]," as he revealed during the Eurogamer Expo.

He added, "There's always a balance, especially for open world, between the simulation and the rest."

Morin also shared about focusing on the Watch Dogs stability as he said, "I think for where we are, the most important thing is the steadiness and [ensuring] that it's always capped the same so when you play it it feels right".

However, the director would not share anything about the resolution of Watch Dogs for PS4 and Xbox One editions, saying that he did not know if the open-world action adventure game stealth game would run at 720p or 1080p.

Furthermore, Morin also revealed their plans for Watch Dogs running on the current-generation game consoles. He shared that Watch Dogs Xbox 360 edition will be available on two discs. One of the discs will be used for installation while the other one is necessary for the gameplay. He told, "It's the same thing as GTA."

Watch Dogs will be developed by Ubisoft Montreal and it will be published by Ubisoft. The game focuses on the "gamer's ability to hack into various electronic systems, either to obtain and control information or to destroy those devices completely at specific times", according to its Wiki site. The initial unveiling of Watch Dogs happened at Ubisoft's press conference during E3 2012.

Watch Dogs PS4 edition is expected to arrive on November 29 while it will be available for Xbox One and current gen of game platforms on November 22. Aside from Watch Dogs PS4 and Xbox One versions, gamers can also expect it to be available for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC.
