Captain America, The Winter Soldier Robert Redford Has Villain Role? Cap Has Black Widow Affair?

There are so many intriguing questions to be answered in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." For one, they scored a casting coup in Robert Redford, but what exactly is his role? Also, with increased exposure for Black Widow, does that include a full-on affair?

Robert Redford has accidentally dropped some spoilers-more of cryptic hints to be deciphered, regarding his role in Captain America.

In an interview with The Straits Times, Redford talks on why he accepted a role in a superhero movie, rather unusual for someone at his level (although Ben Kingsley recently starred in this summer's Iron Man 3):

"I think a career requires a certain amount of reinvention. If you get caught in one track I think that can be dangerous. Success has a dark side to it. you want to be careful if you've had success at something, that you not try and follow it by just duplicating it. That's why I'm doing this Captain America thing."

Followed by another ominous quote:

"I like the idea of playing a villain...I did that just because it's a different thing for me to do."

Redford has already mentioned that he would play "head of SHIELD" even though Marvel identified him as Alexander Pierce, a superior to Nick Fury. It seems like he's much higher than that, and the "villain" comment hints on a multi-layered character-a role that would require someone of Redford's caliber.

Meanwhile another character talks about her pivotal role. Scarlett Johansson, who plays the enigmatic Black Widow, elaborates the bigger role in the movie and the relationship with Captain America:

In an interview with Refinery 29, ScarJo reveals: "By a series of unfortunate encounters, they will be in a situation in which their friendship becomes more intimate. They share many similarities because they live on the defensive without relying on anyone. Also, the two have been working for the government throughout their professional careers. With their friendship they begin to question what they want and what is their true identity."
