Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) Major Flaws; Lack Of Cheats, Dog Bites And Disappearing Cars Give Players A Hard Dose of ‘Auto Theft’

Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) is officially the most successful video game of all time (in terms of sales) but by no means is it perfect. Two weeks after the release, gamers have chimed in on their complaints.

One of the major gripes is the gun handling. There are three gun handling types in GTA V: the traditional aim (to the chest of your opponent, usually the default setting) the assisted and the free aim. According to Kotaku, The "free-aim is also significantly, unnecessarily hampered. To actually play the story missions using free-aim is to make GTA V ruinously difficult."

Another flaw is the lack of cheats. While we may reason that GTA V is still a young game and cheats will probably be introduced later, gamers are giddy (perhaps because of the teasers they've seen for more than a year or so). The few released cheats were primarily vehicle spawns. The 'essential' cheats like weapons, health and money were notoriously missing. It makes gameplay much more difficult and exploration becomes very limited.

Speaking of cheats, gamers have complained of being easy prey for the animals on the game. While it is a very welcome innovation, the animals, instead of giving the characters extra target practice, have made the game an interactive "Hunter Hunted" episode. What Culture notes:  It appears as though one bite from a guard dog or a mountain lion is enough to take you down and trigger than infamous "wasted" screen despite having had a full bar of health previously, which is especially irritating having spent the last 20 minutes trying to reach the top of Mount Chiliad." GTA V should have come with a standard "Beware of Dog" sign.

Finally, in a dose of instant karma, the biggest complaint from the players is the garage glitch. After spending thousands of GTA dollars (hard earned since there's no cheat) and painstakingly customizing it, players parked it in their safehouses' garage. When they resume play and retrieve their ride, it's GONE! Get a dose of your own Grand Theft Auto in "Now You See Me" fashion! It's uncertain whether the glitch was a bad joke, but Rockstar already issued a warning, and a clarification:
"..cars parked in one character's garage will not appear in another character's safe house. That part's not a glitch, but simply a design decision."
