Ed Sheeran Praises Miley Cyrus ‘Amazing Voice’ In 'Wrecking Ball,' But Hates On Her Twerking ‘Stripper’s Move’

Ed Sheeran is torn: on one hand, he thinks Miley Cyrus is talented and has a great voice, especially in "Wrecking Ball," but on the other hand, Ed Sheeran thinks Miley Cyrus and her twerking ways are a bad image for young girls.

Ed Sheeran complimented Miley Cyrus' voice, especially in her new song "Wrecking Ball."

"I think she's got an amazing voice. I just think she's packaged the wrong way," Ed told The Mirror, Entertainmentwise reports.

"When I first heard 'Wrecking Ball,' I thought it was a brilliant song," he said.

But then Ed Sheeran added what he really thinks about Miley Cyrus and her new image, including her infamous twerking performances.

Sheeran said the video for "Wrecking Ball" "distracts too much" from the song.

Ed claimed that Miley is teaching young girls how to act like strippers, Entertainmentwise reports.

"I think encouraging young people to twerk might be a bad thing. It's a stripper's move. If I had a daughter of nine, I wouldn't want her twerking."

Meanwhile, Miley has streamed her new album "Bangerz" on iTunes for fans who can now listen to the track for free before the album's official premiere on October 7.

Sheeran was also probably referring to Miley's twerking performance at the MTV VMAs, where Ed was spotted holding hands for a brief moment with singer Ellie Goulding, The Daily Mail reports.

Rumors then sparked that the two were dating, but Ed later cleared the air: "It was going on. And now it's not."

"She's a really cool girl and she's real talented," he said, "We just tour a lot."

On Sunday evening, Ed also performed alongside Ellie Goulding at Unity: a concert for Stephen Lawrence, in memorial of the anniversary of the teenager's murder.
