Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date News: Music By Yoko Shimomura? Music Composer Responsible For Main Menu Melody Reprises Role

Square Enix has officially announced the music composer for the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One video game, Kingdom Hearts 3 - according to a report by Enix Origin on Sept. 22, the company confirmed at this year's Tokyo Game Show that Yoko Shimomura will be reprising her role in the upcoming sequel, Examiner.com reports.

The music composer was responsible for scoring multiple video games in the Kingdom Hearts series, including the first two mainline titles - her most popular track is the "Dearly Beloved" piano piece that usually plays during the main menu of the video games. In addition to Kingdom Hearts 3, she is also working on the upcoming Final Fantasy XV, Examiner.com also reports.

Various rumors are suggesting that Kingdom Hearts 3 will feature multiplayer capabilities and tournaments, leaving gamers wondering how many new specs the game will include.

"We heard talk about multi-player aspects of the game heading to Kingdom Hearts 3 and tournament. This of course could be a natural progression as we have seen multi-player already in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, this was on the Game Boy Advance," Tekrieg.com reports.

"We also saw it on Birth of Sleep, which came out for the PSP. Dream Drop Distance came out for the 3DS too, along with 368.2 days."

Tetsuya Nomura, spearheading the development of Kingdom Hearts 3, revealed that the character models from Dream Drop Distance were modified and reincorporated into the game, leaving gamersDescription: https://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png wondering how different it will be from its predecessor.

Kingdom Hearts 3 producer Shinji Hashimoto discussed the series with IGN and spoke about the pressure caused by releasing HD 1.5 Remix and how it is prompting an announcement for the release date of the next gameDescription: https://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png.

"It's been 11 years since the original game was out and now we'll have Kingdom Hearts III at some stage in the future," Hashimoto told IGN.

"The people who played the original game, at the time they were probably around 12 or 13...but now they're in their twenties...While fans of Disney are usually quite young and Final Fantasy players are much older, they come together to create a Kingdom Hearts audience that's very unique. The feelings people have towards the series are so deep these days because they spent many of their teenage years, which is a very sensitive period of your personal life, with Kingdom Hearts."
