NBA Live 14 News: 2K14 Next-Generation Gameplay Takes Spotlight Away? New Game Released October 1 Takes Attention Away From EA Sports

NBA 2K14 is now released and has grabbed the spotlight from basketball fans around the world, leaving many wondering if it took attention away from NBA Live 14.

"The next generation models that will be coming out for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 show a realism in the gameplay graphics like we've never seen before," CBSSports.com writes.

"Not to mention, you're getting KRS-One's "Step into the world" playing over the next generation action that will confuse your parents and significant others that you're watching an actual game."

EA Sports has released an official gameplay trailer, revealing that players within the game can use their individual playing styles on the court - a feature also available in its rival game NBA 2K14.

"The graphics are on the next-gen engines, so of course they look fantastic, even as Iving's facial expression doesn't move in-flight," CBSSports.com writes.

"They've focused a lot on the ball and dribbling physics, going so far as to bring in players to record their specific dribbling styles and having the ball using its own physics engine. The result is an animation process a lot closer to reality that anything before it."

NBA Live '14's biggest competitor, NBA 2K14, will also be available on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One once both next-generation consoles are released.

NBA Live 14's developer also announced that Kyrie Irving will be the athlete featured on the cover of the game and released gameplay snapshots.
