Michael Jackson Civil Trial Verdict [VIDEO]: Lengthy Jury Deliberations Good Sign For Jackson Family; Could AEG Wrongful Death Lawsuit Change The Entertainment Industry?

Michael Jackson civil trial verdict update: Jurors continue to deliberate in the wrongful death lawsuit against AEG Live.  Do lengthy deliberations mean that they are deciding in favor of the Jackson family?
The final witness in the Michael Jackson wrongful death civil suit has testified, and testimony is over.  The jury continues to deliberate the verdict after hearing closing arguments.  According to the Gulf Times, the long deliberations are a positive sign for the Jackson family when it comes to the verdict: "Observers note that the longer the jurors deliberate, the more likely it is they could find themselves in favour of the Jackson family, which claims AEG Live negligently hired Conrad Murray, the physician convicted over the star's death."
The length of deliberations is an indication of the possible verdict in the Michael Jackson civil trial due to the differences in procedure for civil and criminal trials.  Jurors have to answer several questions for the verdict in the Michael Jackson civil trial, and if they answer no to any question they don't have to answer any more - so the longer they deliberate, the more likely they are answering yes and moving on to the next question in the verdict.

According to the Gulf Times, the questions that determine the verdict in the Michael Jackson civil trial revolve around Dr. Conrad Murray's employment: "The first question asks whether they agree that AEG Live hired Conrad Murray - a key issue in dispute. The next asks if Murray was unfit or incompetent for the job. The third asks if AEG Live knew or should have known that Murray was unfit for the job, followed by a query on whether Conrad's incompetence harmed the Jackson family.  If they get this far, jurors will be asked if Jackson's lawyers have proven the need for damages."
The Michael Jackson Civil Trial had a lot of testimony that helped explain the death of Michael Jackson from a drug overdose. Michael Jackson died because he took an anesthetic drug.  What remains to be decided in the verdict is whether AEG Live will be held liable for the death.

Jo Piazza, a celebrity branding consultant, told Reuters that the Michael Jackson wrongful death civil trial verdict could have lasting effects on the entertainment industry: "If AEG is found liable, that puts these companies on the line for millions and billions of dollars, and it is already causing the industry to rethink how the structure is set up

The Michael Jackson wrongful death civil trial verdict "could have a chilling effect on how much micro-management of a star's life companies like AEG and other production companies have."

"But the reason the micro-management even exists is to make sure that the celebrities, the talent, is in the best position possible to make money for the production company."
