Blink 182 Tour 2014: Tom DeLonge’s Angels And Airwaves Show About To Finish, Vocalist To Head Back The Studio To Continue With New Album

Blink 182 Tour is about to happen and time is the only thing that the band has been waiting on. While Tom DeLonge is busy with touring with his other band Angels & Airwaves, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker has been doing things on their own while the punk band still plays some shows left and right.

Angels & Airwaves took a different turn after Blink reunited recently Atom Willard, who previously played drums for A&A admitted that the band got affected when Blink came back together.

"With Angels and Airwaves, I thought it was the best thing. We had the greatest time and all got along, but circumstances changed when Tom [Delonge] started back up with Blink [182] again and the whole thing took a different turn. So it’s all of those things that have motivated me to move on. I’m just an idealist, I guess."

A&A are still on tour playing a few shows together with Blink 182 and is scheduled to end their shows on September in Italy.

Drummer Travis Barker, meanwhile has been waiting for all of his bandmates to finish with their separate projects to return with their new studio album, which has been halted after the band members got a little thing of their own.

In a recent interview, he said: “Honestly, we haven’t really started on anything new at this point. We have a couple shows booked but that’s it. Until all three of us get in the same room and other people’s schedules clear, it’s kinda outta my hands. So I keep myself busy in the studio. I’m in the middle of rehearsals with the Transplants for MusInk and we’re recording a covers album.”

However, earlier this year, Blink 182 teased fans of what looked like to be new tracks as bassist Mark Hoppus has recently posted a picture in his Twitter account of recorded tracks with the caption 'Them blink-182 demos'.

The band is expected to work with their new album and is expected to tour again once the new album is done. The band targets the new record to be done before they headline the Reading and Leeds festival this year.

Blink 182, however, will be headlining a rock, heavy metal and punk festival Amnesia Rockfest on June 20-21 in Montebello, Quebec. The band will be joined by Motley Crue, Alice and Chains, Megadeth, Weezer and many other heavy metal and rock bands. This will be the ninth installment of the said festival.
