Dancing With The Stars Rumor alert:  According to some rumors hitting the internet  DTWS' Olympic gold medalist Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are dating.
Meryl Davis, 27, and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 34, were on Good Morning America on May 21, to celebrate their DWTS season 18 win. And they talked about that hot hot chemistry.

"It was an incredible connection right away. We come from different planets," Maks told the GMA audience.

All season Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy's chemistry has been palpable on the dance floor. The tension hit its boiling point when Maks admitted that he's wanted to "ravage" Meryl and have Russian babies with her.

Maksim joked "I want to ravage her and have ice-skating, big, Russian, mean babies. We're going to call them Boris and Oleg. Their nicknames are going to be Bear. Both. One nickname for both." When he was asked when he was going to propose to Meryl, Chmerkovskiy answered, "Probably tomorrow."

All those chemicals must have gone to the audience's heads because it turns out, the rumors are not true.

It was just chemistry. From the day Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were first paired, TVs across the country captured that sexual tension.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis' relationship has gotten hotter throughout season 18 of Dancing With the Stars.

But a different source told Us magazine: "They had a great time (in NYC) but honestly they aren't dating yet ... Maks is that affectionate with all women. He always acts like that, it's how he is, very touchy feely. He genuinely adores her but it is not dating yet."

Maksim Chmerkovskiy used to date Kate Upton. But broke up because of their schedules.

A source told Us Weekly "They are really good friends still and speak all the time, but their schedules just made it too difficult, and it fell apart. [Chmerkovskiy] has a lot of respect for her, but it just wasn't working anymore."

Another insider told Confidenti@l last week "It was the distance. He travels and she travels, and it didn't work out. The fact of the matter is that she is a 21-year-old girl and Maks is 33. She liked him and brought him to meet her parents at a football game. She invited him to a lot of family things. She got serious about him quickly, and he thinks she's a good person. It just didn't work."
