2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions: Chris Bosh Miami Heat Forever! Former Franchise Player Willing To Take Pay Cut To Stay In South Beach! What If They Lost?

No team is immune from 2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions not even the defending champions. The Miami Heat are just one game removed from reaching the NBA Finals once again. While they are supposed to face uncertainty this summer, each win puts an important piece firmly in place.

Chris Bosh is touted as the member of the Big Three that's most likely to leave. He has the biggest chance to become a top dog for another team. He will be offered maximum money and he's also a big man (who tends to age slower in the NBA).

Quoting an interview from ESPN's Dan Le Batard show, Bleacher Report has this report:

"Bosh was asked about his upcoming opportunity to leave in free agency during an appearance on The Dan LeBatard Show this afternoon and said, 'Yeah, I mean, I don't want to go anywhere. I like it here. It's Miami. Everybody wants to come here. Yeah.'

When asked if he would accept a below-market offer from the Heat, he answered, 'If that's what it takes.'"

This is quite a puzzling prospect. Chris Bosh is 30 years old, and this could be his last maximum contract. CBS states: "The move is a bit surprising considering this is likely to be the last long-term, big money contract Bosh receives in his career. But he enjoys the lifestyle, and while not as close with the other two stars as LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are, he clearly understands the benefits of playing next to the two legends.

Still, it's not yet June. A lot can happen in the next month, and given the unpredictable nature of LeBron James' decision matrix, settling this matter completely may be premature."

While he will not get prime numbers or a maximum salary, Bosh may place value on the absence of pressure, both mentally and physically by staying in Miami with the two superstars. That condition may extend his longevity and eventually help him earn more money in the long-term.

Even if Miami would lose the championship this season, they have made it to the Eastern Conference Finals four straight times (every year since they got together). If the Big Three stay together, there is no reason to expect any less. There is still no clear contender that can stand up and claim they can topple the Heat. The Pacers are one game away from being the last team that failed.
