iPhone 6 Rumors: Apple's New Smartphone Will Become Your Own Home Control Center, To Be Detailed At WWDC

Several months into the potential release date of Apple's new phone, and iPhone 6 rumors are already piling up. In a report, the Cupertino manufacturer aims to bring home automation controls to the iPhone, starting with its newest smartphone in September.

According to a report from the Financial Times, Apple will bring new features in its smartphone lineup that would allow them to control home automation functions. In the report, these features would be introduced during the company's annual WWDC event which begins next week.

That just means future Apple products can soon be used to turn on lights, security systems, and even appliances. And considering that this is already a great and exciting feature from the Cupertinos manufacturer, it is only fitting that the said feature would be fully detailed during Apple's WWDC event.

In the report by GSM Arena, the upcoming feature could make its debut when the iPhone 6 gets launched in September, says a German carrier.

If this is true, then there would be another reason why we should all be excited of the next Apple smartphone. For the past months, all we hear and read about the new iPhone are rumors, with Apple keeping its mouth shut.

However, from several reports from DigiTimes and BGR, we found out that the iPhone 6 will come with a bigger 4.7 inch screen. There are also rumors pointing to an even bigger version of the iPhone 6 which could get as much as 5.5 inches of screen real estate. Both these displays are said to be covered with sapphire, and would be thinner and more responsive.

Apple is expected to share some details about the iPhone 6, or at least the new iOS 8 which could include the home automation function reported by the Financial Times. In just a week, we will get the answer to our questions.
