‘Frozen' Sequel To Feature Elsa And Olaf Connection? Will The Snowman Become A Real Person? Hey, It's Disney! Stars Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Idina Menzel All Game To Return!

Disney's "Frozen" is now the fifth highest grossing movie of all time. The achievement is staggering when you consider that this is not a heralded project. Fans have never stopped asking for a sequel.

While Disney is not confirming anything, they would probably be the last to walk away from a gold mine. Perhaps they can get around to it when they've finished counting all their money. But the delay would likely stem from a 'new' Disney philosophy that has raised the creative standards through the roof.

Former Pixar head honcho and now Disney creative director John Lassiter has mentioned that they would not make a sequel just for the money grab. The Pixar record speaks well of that, except maybe for "Cars 2." For the most part, Pixar took its time before making a sequel even for a monster hit like "Finding Nemo" whose sequel is set to be released in 2016, a full 13 years after the original.

Frozen 2, if ever, would probably not take that long. The cast would hope so, as they are still caught in the momentum of success.

There is a suggestion that "Frozen" has a limited universe and a very finite number of characters (Five major ones including Olaf the Snowman). This would not be a problem for Disney as most of the movie's viewers are already suggesting that the plot revolve around Elsa's newly revealed 'soft side.' There is also a considerable sector who are cheering for an Elsa love interest to quell all the pro-homosexual rumors.

A tweet involving two of the main actors playfully suggested that the search for an Elsa love interest need not go far.

Of course, it is purely in jest. Idina Menzel and Josh Gad are close and they also have similar orientations, but it does sound great. Will Olaf have a Pinocchio-style transformation?

We may find out with most of the original cast, who have collectively voiced out a willingness to return. Aside from these two, Kristen Bell, the actress behind Anna (a revelation for most as far as pipes are concerned) has stated through Popsugar:

"I know! It's crazy (the success of the film). And, oh wow, I don't even know if I could begin to throw out a worthy storyline. [Director] Jen [Lee] is so - Jen is one of the most talented people I've ever worked with. She is extraordinary. And yeah, I wouldn't even begin to throw out what I thought Anna would be doing. But if they write it, I will voice it. Happily."

Almost there with three happy returnees. There are also millions more around the world who could not wait to watch it.
